MASHY · RESTAURANT GUIDES

How bill splitting works with Mashy

A group can share a table without one person paying for everyone. In Mashy’s pay-at-table flow, guests choose how to settle the bill from their phones.

Start with the table’s bill

Guests scan the table’s QR code to open the bill in their browser. The guest interface is available in Arabic and English, without downloading an app.

Before choosing a share, check the items and amounts. If something on the bill needs correcting, ask the restaurant team before continuing to payment.

Choose how to split

Mashy supports splitting by items or equally, as well as paying the whole available balance. These choices serve different groups; agree on the approach before paying.

  • By items — choose the items you are paying for. The checkout uses that selection to calculate your share.
  • Equally — choose the number of people to divide the bill between. Each person pays a share of the bill.
  • Full bill — one guest pays the available balance. Check the remaining amount if someone has already paid a share.

Review your share and tip

Review the checkout total before confirming payment. Tipping is optional; guests can choose no tip or add a tip using the options shown.

A payment for one share does not mean the whole table is settled. Check the payment confirmation and any remaining balance before leaving.

Try the flow before using it

The sample bill on this page lets you select items, try equal splitting and review a full-bill payment. Its prices and payment confirmation are examples, not a live restaurant bill.

For a restaurant walkthrough, request a demo and share your current POS provider. Compatibility with your setup needs to be reviewed before you use Mashy for live service.
