Agreement and scope
Mashy is owned and operated by Fast Labs Technology. By using Mashy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms cover the public website, demo-request form, sample bill and guest pay-at-table experience. A separate agreement may govern a restaurant’s business relationship with Mashy. Payment providers’ terms apply to their services.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement. If you use Mashy on behalf of a restaurant or another organisation, you must have authority to do so.
What Mashy does
Mashy provides an interface to view a participating restaurant’s table bill, select items or an equal share, pay the available balance, add an optional tip and review the payment result. Availability depends on the restaurant’s setup.
The restaurant supplies the meal and manages its bill. Mashy facilitates the digital bill and payment flow; the payment provider processes the payment.
The sample bill on the website is a demonstration. Its items, prices and payment result are examples. Using it does not place an order or move money.
Checking and splitting your bill
Check the restaurant, table, items, selected share and total before paying. Ask restaurant staff to correct any bill error before continuing.
Agree with your group about who will pay each share. A successful payment of one share does not settle the whole table. Check the remaining balance and the payment confirmation before leaving.
Do not assume a payment succeeded because you reached a checkout screen or your bank shows a pending charge. If the result is unclear, check with the restaurant or contact us before trying again.
Payments, service fees and tips
Tipping is optional. You can choose no tip or select the tip you want from the options shown. Any tip you choose is included in the amount you confirm.
Use a payment method you are authorised to use. Payments depend on the payment provider and your bank, including their acceptance, checks and processing rules. Mashy does not guarantee that every payment will be approved.
Restaurant responsibilities
Restaurants are responsible for the accuracy of their menu, prices, table mapping, bills and information supplied through their setup. They are also responsible for providing the meal and resolving questions about its quality, bill corrections and their own policies.
Restaurant representatives must provide accurate contact and business information and protect any credentials used to manage their setup. Compatibility and launch arrangements must be confirmed for the restaurant before live use.
Refunds and payment questions
Contact the restaurant first about a meal dispute, bill adjustment or refund request. Contact Mashy about technical problems such as an unclear result or a suspected duplicate payment, and include the transaction reference if available.
Any refund must be handled through the relevant restaurant and payment process. Eligibility and processing depend on the circumstances, applicable law and the relevant provider’s procedures. These terms do not promise a fixed refund timeline or remove any mandatory consumer rights.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use Mashy lawfully and only for its intended purposes. Do not submit false information, impersonate another person, access someone else’s session without permission, interfere with the service or attempt to bypass security or payment controls.
Mashy’s branding, interface and other content are protected by intellectual-property rights. You may use them as needed to use the service, but may not copy or exploit them commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder.
Privacy and electronic communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how Mashy handles personal information. Restaurant and payment-provider policies also apply to the information they handle independently.
By submitting a demo or support request, you allow us to respond using the contact details you provide. Service notices and payment information may be delivered electronically. This does not replace any consent required by law for unrelated marketing.
Availability, changes and access
The service may be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity issues or failures in systems used by Mashy, a restaurant or a payment provider. If the digital flow is unavailable, ask the restaurant about another way to settle the bill.
We may change the service or restrict access where needed to maintain security, prevent misuse or comply with law. We may update these terms; the date above identifies the current version. Any change remains subject to applicable law and does not remove rights relating to an earlier payment.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mashy is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of information supplied by a restaurant or another third party.
To the extent permitted by law, Fast Labs Technology is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of Mashy. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer rights or remedies.
Governing law and resolving disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute. Subject to mandatory legal protections and jurisdiction rules, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Cairo, Egypt.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
